VStitcher 'Failed to load plugin' errors

VStitcher 'Failed to load plugin' errors

Some users encounter a 'Failed to load plugin' error in VStitcher when trying to install the EcoShot plugin.

The most common reason for this error is the customer's Browzwear license not being correctly configured with the API / Open Platform license. If this is the cause, you will need to contact Browzwear as this is an issue from their side.

You can check your Browzwear account set up by following the instructions on this page. If you need help updating your license, please contact Browzwear Support.

You can also find out if you have an API / Open Platform license by inspecting the VStitcher logs:

  1. In VStitcher, go to Help → Open Log Folder…
  2. Inspect the most recent Vstitcher-<version>.logx file with a text editor.

Search for EcoShot in the log file. If you see this error message, the cause is the API / Open Platform license configuration:

failed to acquire open platform license in order to load plugin

You can also attach the log file and send it to us via our support chat, and we’ll look at it for you.

If you are unsure about which log file to send, just create a ZIP archive with all the files in it and send us the ZIP archive.

  • To create a ZIP archive on macOS, select all the files, right-click on them, and select Compress XX items. This should create an Archive.zip file.
  • To create a ZIP archive on Windows, select all the files, right-click on them, and select: Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder.

To resolve an API / Open Platform license issue, please email support@browzwear-global.com to ask their licensing team to resolve the issue.
